FL4K Gamma Burst AidFl4k build by TheRealTitleist updated 8 months ago
I used this build for farming. It's not a quick kill / boss melter build but it will get the job done with a minimum of specific items. Very good sustainability from Self-Repairing System, Turn Tail and Run, Who Rescued Who, and Pack Tactics. Gamma Burst is the butter here. When it's out you are healed for 20% of your total health per second, and deal 20% more damage. If you use a Red Fang (which is recommended), it also causes your pet to taunt everything (which your pet can handle), plus you'll get +30% damage to everything attacking them.
It's simple - find baddies, gun them down. Your pet will be dishing out the damage, and your damage to enemies will help keep them alive. Use Gamma Burst generously or when things get rough, as it will keep you alive and hugely increase your damage (+30% to enemies taunted by your pet from Hidden Machine, +20% from Empathic Rage). Be sure to keep on eye on both attack command and Gamma Burst cooldowns, as Eager to Impress will make them come sooner than you estimate.
Really the only requirement (and it's not 100% required) is a Red Fang class mod, with bonuses to Eager To Impress or Ferocity over He Bite's. This mod will cause your pet to taunt enemies while Gamma Burst is active. This grants us an additional 30% damage to those mobs via Hidden Machine.
If you have a +3 to Eager to Impress or Ferocity, you have a few choices. You can keep those at 5 and 3 like in the build, then move those extra points around for additional flavoring (maybe in Leave No Trace or used to cap others like Who Rescued Who, or Barbaric Yawp) OR just keep them stacked. It really does not matter and either way works well.
Modification - If you are not using a Red Fang, don't put 5 points in Hidden Machine. Enemies will be spending less time attacking your pet and more time shooting you, so those 5 points are not put to maximum use. Put those 5 points in Leave No Trace (3), Who Rescued Who (1), and Barbaric Yawp (1).
There are a few choices here, depending on your play style. The recommendations include Beefcake Jabber (5% movement speed, 10% health), or Great Horned Skag (5% damage, 10% gun damage). I highly recommend the Great Horned Skag for a few reason; next to all the other health enhancement talents in this build, another 10% from the Jabber is not critical. The damage modifers however are important, as again we've already invested heavily in survivability.
